What is TGTF Inc?

Tasmanian Garlic & Tomato Festival Inc. (TGTF Inc.) is a volunteer-run, community-focused organisation behind the festival, dedicated to celebrating the beauty of local and seasonal produce - initially garlic and tomatoes, but now all heirloom produce.

Our purpose is to:

  • Educate, entertain, and engage the public with interactive experiences, demonstrations, and competitions.

  • Promote quality local produce and support the industries that grow, craft, and sell exceptional garlic, tomatoes, and other fresh foods.

  • Champion stallholders and community members by providing a platform to showcase their work and businesses.

  • Celebrate and promote the Meander Valley as a hub of fantastic produce, creativity, and community spirit.

  • Give back by supporting worthy not-for-profit organisations that uplift and sustain our rural communities.

At its heart, TGTF Inc is about connection - between people, food, and the land. With the dedication of our volunteers and the enthusiasm of our supporters, we continue to grow, making each festival bigger, better, and more inclusive than ever.

TGTF Inc. is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation made up of passionate members from across the state. Each year, a dedicated committee is formed to plan and deliver the festival, with all profits reinvested into future festivals and supporting the local community. We’re always looking for new faces to join us - if you’re keen to be involved, please scroll down to see our Membership options.
