Get Involved!

Do you want to be a part of a great community event?

The Tasmanian Heirloom Festival only happens because of our incredible volunteers. We’re a fully volunteer-run festival, and every helping hand plays a part in bringing the festival to life! If you love local food, community vibes, or just being part of a great team, we’d love to have you join us.

You don’t need any special skills or experience. If you’re happy to pitch in, have a laugh, and help where needed, you’ll fit right in.

There are lots of ways to get involved across the weekend, and you can jump in for as many hours as you’re able. Every bit truly helps!

We need help with:

  • Saturday 14th March: Set Up
Help us transform the site and get everything ready! Think popping up a few marquees, putting signs out, temporary fencing, chairs, hay bales, and all the bits that make the festival feel like a festival.

  • Sunday 15th March: Pre-Festival Set Up
Early helpers to do the final touches before gates open, support stallholders as they arrive, and help the site come together.

  • Sunday 15th March: During the Festival
Be right in the middle of the action! Help answer questions at the Information Tent, support our chefs at the Cooking Demonstrations, oversee the Heirloom Heaven displays (people really want to touch all that produce!), and help our Waste Management crew keep the site clean.

  • Sunday 15th March: Post-Festival Pack Down
Once the festival wraps up, we need hands to pack down, load gear and leave the site as we found it. Then a little sneaky BBQ and drinks to celebrate!

Why volunteer?

Because it’s fun, it’s social, and it feels good to be part of something local and loved.

Also, you will get free tickets to the festival (two per person), a voucher for food & drinks during the festival, and plenty of time to still enjoy everything the festival can offer!

Keen to jump in? Fill out the volunteer form below and we’ll find a spot that suits you and make sure you feel right at home.
